In the season of Lent we are preparing ourselves for the celebration of the Passion, Death, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ. We are especially encouraged to pay more attention to how we pray, to do penance (especially fasting), and to do works of charity so that we can learn to better love God and our neighbour. Discover here reflections and other materials to help you prepare this Lent.

Zoom Parish Lent Series for 2024
Message from Fr Mark Skelton My friends,
Lent is just around the corner and so I thought I would send you details of the Zoom Parish Lent Series for 2024. This is the fourth series and although the numbers are not as high as in 2021 when we were still very much in a shielding from COVID situation those that come most certainly have always enjoyed the opportunity to hear and reflect on different aspects of our faith during the incredibly important Lenten journey. This year, I have opted to use the five great Gospels of the Sundays of Year A although the speakers will no doubt use other scriptures in their talks as well. This year the five speakers who have very kindly accepted the invitation are all from within the Diocese.
